Viewing angle-dependent kilonova modeling; Kawaguchi et al.
authors
reviewer:will-blair
The kilonova light curve and spectral evolution depend sensitively on viewing angle due to lanthanide-dominated opacity in the equatorial plane: pole-on viewing angles show brighter, faster kilonovae while edge-on viewing angles are dimmer and redder.
