Pediatric tumor mutational burden is significantly lower than adult tumor mutational burden across CNS tumor types; the corollary is that immune checkpoint inhibitor monotherapy is even less likely to be effective in pediatric brain tumors than in adult ones, except for rare cases of constitutional MMR deficiency (CMMRD) where TMB is markedly elevated.
